Frequently asked questions

The questions members ask most about the servers. If yours is not here, the Help center covers connecting, Linux and family sharing in more depth.

A room is full — can I still get in?
The rooms are not overbooked: the capacity you see on the status page is the real limit. If a room is full, try the other location (most popular titles run in both France and Germany) or come back a little later — evenings fill up first.
The status page says online, but I cannot join.
Check that you are using the saved server entry from your session details rather than typing an address from memory. If the entry is correct, restart the game client and try again — and if it still will not join, try the other location.
Why are no server addresses published?
The service is private by design. Addresses are provided to members through their account and are never shown on the website — that is what keeps the rooms clean. If you are a member, your details are waiting after you sign in; if you are not, this is not the service for you.
France or Germany — which should I pick?
Whichever is closer to you. Both locations run the same titles with the same capacity, so pick the one with the better ping and you are set. The status page shows what runs where.
Do I need Hamachi?
Only for the handful of LAN-only titles that we do not host — that is a backup path, not the normal one. If a title appears on the status page, use the hosted server. The backup setup lives in the virtual LAN guide.
How many players fit on a server?
Every title lists its capacity on its page and on the status page — that number is the real room size. Popular titles run several servers, so the total can be higher than any single room.
It says my IP is flagged and sign-in is denied. What now?
The member area only accepts addresses it expects. If you were blocked by mistake — usually after browsing from an unexpected region or a shared connection — write to us from that connection and we will normally clear it within a day.
Can I play on Linux?
Most of the library runs under Proton, and several dedicated servers are Linux-native. If a specific title misbehaves, the Linux & Proton guide has the per-game fixes, and ProtonDB is the best place to check before you install.
